COVID-19 Disclaimer: Your Health Is Our Priority

NSU is taking decisive and informed action to keep students, faculty, staff and patients, as well as the community, safe. We are strictly following guidance from the CDC, the Florida Department of Health and the Broward County Health Department. Temperature checks will be performed prior to entry at our facilities, and telehealth appointments are available, as well. NSU’s pharmacy is currently operating during regular business hours.

COVID-19 is changing our world, and we’re changing with it. We offer telehealth appointments for your convenience at our medical and mental health services through secure, HIPAA compliant platforms. You will receive an email with all relevant information after your appointment is scheduled. Telehealth appointments are covered through most insurance plans at the same rate as in-person office visits.

Occupational and Physical Therapy Specialties

Our health clinic services work alongside our Occupational and Therapy Programs in the Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences at NSU. By sharpening your skills, showing you various methods to complete tasks or teaching you how to use special equipment, our therapists can help you live with greater ease and satisfaction. You can receive evaluations and treatment in the following specialties, which are reasonably priced and covered by most insurance providers.

Learn to maintain your daily activities with ease. Our occupational therapists provide exercises for those recuperating from or at risk for a physical or mental illness, including Alzheimer’s disease, cerebral palsy, autism and limb loss. Whether you’re recovering from hand surgery or just want to take back control of your mobility, you’ll leave our facilities reaching your full potential.

Lead a more active lifestyle with the NSU Physical Therapy Clinic. Our physical therapists are movement experts that diagnose and treat patients with injuries, disabilities or other health conditions, plus those who wish to prevent future problems. Our impressive facilities are the perfect backdrops to help improve your ability to move, reduce pain and restore function.

Strengthen your muscle memory with our neuromuscular coordination specialists. We can help you perform exercises that train the nerves and muscles to react and communicate with a specific task.

Take a step in the right direction with our sports medicine and accident injury specialty. Services include massage therapy, aquatic therapy, rehabilitation (physical therapy) and more.

Are you or your loved one experiencing balance problems? Serving South Florida adults, NSU specialists can perform a one-time, comprehensive, multiple discipline evaluation for balance and fall risk factors. You will leave the assessment with a written report that we encourage you to share with your primary care physician and other health-care providers.

Disciplines involved:

  • audiology
  • geriatric medicine
  • occupational therapy
  • optometry
  • pharmacy
  • physical therapy
  • psychology

NSU Health Clinics helps those with movement disorders, such as Parkinson's Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. We’ll develop a comprehensive plan that helps manage symptoms with physical therapy practices like strengthening, balance and stretching.
